It is sometimes possible to anticipate a complication in delivery, when the baby is stubbornly breech or if there have been problems in pregnancy leading to a planned cesarean section. Sometimes however the course of labor is not straightforward and either a vaginal delivery has to be assisted with forceps or a vacuum extraction, or a cesarean has to be performed. |
